About Us – Viva Lyze
Hi, I’m Casey Monroe, the home cook, wellness researcher, and founder of Viva Lyze. I created this website to make healthy weight loss feel just as comforting and enjoyable as your favorite meals. You deserve food that supports your goals without demanding sacrifice, stress, or complicated rules.
I didn’t grow up in a professional kitchen. I learned to cook by watching family and experimenting in my own space, discovering that even classic comfort foods can be reimagined for healthy weight loss and everyday nourishment. That personal shift changed my life, and it’s the reason Viva Lyze exists today.

How This All Began
For years, I thought healthier eating meant giving up everything I loved. Strict diets felt unsustainable, and focusing only on calories left me feeling overwhelmed rather than empowered. When I finally began cooking with purpose choosing ingredients that support steady, healthy weight loss while still bringing joy everything started to make sense.
I spent time studying how food affects fullness, metabolism, and energy. I rebuilt familiar dishes using smarter techniques and more balanced ingredients. I started sharing my discoveries and realized many others were searching for the exact same blend of comfort and progress.
That’s when Viva Lyze truly came to life.
Meet the Viva Lyze Team

Recipe Developer – Viva Lyze
Jake is a comfort-food creator with deep Southern roots. Growing up in Charlotte, he spent weekends in his grandmother’s kitchen learning how food brings families together. Over time, he found joy in experimenting with ingredients and building his own cooking style.
At Viva Lyze, Jake develops recipes that feel familiar while supporting a lighter, balanced way of eating. He enjoys bringing fresh ideas to traditional dishes, adding subtle global influences that brighten the flavors people already love. Jake believes in encouraging home cooks through every stage of their journey. For him, progress is the goal, and every meal is a chance to learn something new.

Marla brings a heartwarming approach to healthy home cooking. Inspired by the garden outside her Knoxville kitchen and the generational recipes passed down through her family, she creates meals that feel nourishing and personal. Her cooking reflects the comfort of the South while staying aligned with healthy weight-loss goals.
Marla focuses on dishes that are satisfying without being heavy, using simple methods that help people succeed in the kitchen. She believes that healthy food should still feel like a treat, and she shares that enthusiasm in every recipe she contributes. Her priority is helping readers feel supported, confident, and excited to cook meals they can be proud of.
What You’ll Find Here
Every recipe on Viva Lyze is developed and tested by me in a real kitchen with a real schedule. The dishes are designed to help you reach and maintain healthy weight loss goals while still enjoying hearty meals you look forward to eating.
Cooking shouldn’t feel stressful or restrictive. Here, flavor always stays on the plate. My aim is that every recipe gives you confidence, encourages consistency, and proves that healthy eating can be deeply satisfying.
Why “Viva Lyze”
The name represents a powerful balance: “Viva” celebrates living well, while “Lyze” reflects thoughtful choices and understanding how nourishment works. Together, they define the long-term approach that I believe creates healthy weight loss results that last. Not a quick fix. Not punishment. Just a more supportive way to live and eat.
